~ この日 幅5センチの上で、日本一が決まる!! ~
ギボン日本オープンスラックライン選手権大会 実行委員会は、2017年10月21日(土)・22日(日)に「第8回 ギボン 日本オープンスラックライン選手権大会」を、二子玉川ライズ ガレリア(東京都世田谷区)にて開催することを発表いたします。
スラックラインとは、幅5cmの綱の上でアクロバティックな演技を披露する、見応えのあるライフスタイルスポーツ です。年齢や性別などに制限されずにバランスやインナーマッスルを鍛えることができる道具として、学校やフィッ トネスジム、アスリートのトレーニングや理学療法にも取り入れられ、世界中に300万人以上の愛好者がいると言われ ています。近年は、テレビや雑誌などで取り上げられる機会も多く、認知度も高まりを見せています。
このスラックラインのトリック部門で日本最高峰の競技会が、今年 第8回を迎える「ギボン日本オープンスラックラ イン選手権大会」(以下「同大会」)です。同大会は、世界中のトップクラス選手から重要視されるワールドクラス の競技会のひとつで、国内外の多くの選手が同大会への出場権をかけて1年間技を磨き、競ってきました。 同大会は、本年度よりインビテーション方式(完全招待選手制)で行われることとなり、前大会までよりもさらにハ イレベルでエキサイティングな戦いが繰り広げられます。 招待選手は、現在選考中のため未発表ですが、ティーンエイジャーながらも世界中の大会で活躍する国内トップランカーを始め、海外選手数名を含む主催者推薦枠の選手も検討されており、まもなく発表される出場選手情報からも目が離せません。
また、大会会場では、世界中でムーブメントを巻き起こしている【GLOBAL CITY BALANCE CHALLENGE 2017】が同日開催されます。「世界一バランス感覚の良い都市はどこか?」という称号をかけて、1日の間に“スラックラインの上で10秒間バランスをキープできた人数を競う”バランス対決イベントで、ミュンヘンやニューヨーク、ダブリンなど世界中の都市・地域が参戦し世界中の人々を巻き込んで行う、各国メディア も注目のビッグチャレンジです。同大会は「東京代表」としてエントリーされています。

We are excited to announce that 8th Annual Gibbon Nippon Open Slackline Championship will be held in Futakotamagawa Rise on Oct 21st and 22nd.
Come and watch top global slackline athletes perform right before your eyes!
Slacklining is one of the world's fastest growing sports. This extreme balance sport involves walking, balancing, bouncing and flipping on a 1” to 2” wide line. It's both thrilling to watch and fun to try yourself. People at any age can enjoy slacklining with a variety of benefits, including improved balance, relaxation, mental focus, and recreation. As slacklining grows in popularity, there are known to be more than 3 million fans worldwide.
The Gibbon Nippon Open Slackline Championship is the biggest slackline event in Japan and has gained international recognition for attracting some of the biggest names in the sport. And 2017 will be no exception. It will be invitation only this year. Only qualified competitors on the Japan Slackline Federation rankings or those invited competitors from outside Japan can take a part in the championship.
