On Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, 2026, GIBBON ran a slackline experience booth at HAMAMATSU OPEN "Namimatsuri." The surfing event took place at Nakatajima Beach / Enshunada Seaside Park Grounds in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture.

Namimatsuri brings together the ocean, music and sports, and it naturally makes people want to take on a challenge. In that setting, many visitors got to try slacklining and the SLACKBOARD for themselves.

■ 578 participants in two days: a booth full of smiles

The weather was on our side, and 578 people tried slacklining at our booth: 241 on day one and 337 on day two.

For the little ones, stepping onto the line was just part of playing, and the moment they found their balance, their faces lit up. Their families watched happily, and a warm, relaxed mood spread across the venue.

People with disabilities also gave it a try, moving forward step by step at their own pace. More than once, this drew spontaneous applause from the people around them. What stayed with us was how the challenge itself seemed to lift their spirits and make it a truly uplifting moment.

■ Strong interest in the SLACKBOARD
Visitors who tried the SLACKBOARD told us things like:

Because it gets you moving naturally while you play, the SLACKBOARD offered something for every generation. For kids it was "fun exercise," and for adults it was "time to tune in to your body."

■ A growing circle of challengers, out in nature

In this open seaside setting, we saw so many children and adults take their very first step onto the line. The event reminded us how valuable it is to connect nature, sports and the local community.
